About Me

Education: PhD student since 2015 at the University of Pittsburgh
BS at the University of Science and Technology of China

Research Interests: Galaxy-halo connection, halo structure, cosmology

Publications: ADS search

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Pittsburgh. I work with Dr. Andrew Zentner, on the connection between galaxies and dark matter halos, and halo properties. I am planning to graduate in summer 2021.

My name written in Chinese is 王宽, with the family name coming first. I grew up in Wuhan, China, and went to college in Hefei, where I received my BS in Astronomy in 2015. My favorite things are food and poetry.

Research

I am mostly interested in galaxies and dark matter halos. I use numerical simulations to explore dark halo properties, spatial distributions of cosmological objects, and galaxy-halo connection models.
